DD Feature, A Word About Pre-Cuts, and SkypeHiya Darlings,
So here is the promised feature of our group members who have received a DD so far this year! I’d like to say congratulations to everyone! For those who haven’t received one yet, don’t give up hope! Everyone submits some fantastic stock and I absolutely love seeing the daily submissions.  I’d also like to take a moment and welcome all of our new members!
Before we get to the feature I want to take a moment and talk about Pre-Cut Stocks. Like any stock, they should adhere to our group and :devart: rules. This means:
:bulletgreen: They must  be your own work, or have written permission from the photographer to create them from.
:bulletred: You absolutely, under no circumstances, ever take photos from GOOGLE IMAGE or other online retail, blogs, photography, or other websites to create pre-cut stock.  The same includes stock websites like sxc.hu. This also applies to ALL pre-made backgrounds or Photoshop/GIMP brushes!
Some AwesomeCan I please reiterate, that there are many of you and only one of me? If you haven't received an answer to your comment/note and it is not of life-threatening emergency that needs answering right away, then please do not pester me with notes of "did you get my note?"

Stock and Resources UpdatesLETS TALK ABOUT STOCK "REQUESTS"
Every year we get excited, eager, passionate new stock providers entering our small but growing community, and every year these new stock models in particular get targeted by a small group of "requesters" Those of us who have been on the site for more than a few years recognise the types of "requests" I'm talking about and know to absolutely avoid them at all costs, but its something that I've seen more and more regularly over the last few months, and its definitely a concern.
There are standard "pose requests" that are NOT requested for the "artist" to work from.  They are simply asking you to take photos of yourself in provocative poses so they can get off to your stock.
Firstly - please keep in mind that the images you are providing to artists are STOCK ART - they are first and foremost designed to provide artists with useable, useful references, either for traditional art, or digital art or whatever media they choose to create

Inspired by the Stock part 1 - KirileeHi everyone. Today I'm doing something that I've been planning on doing for a long while, featuring and interviewing some of the DA stock artists who inspire me.
Today I've been chatting with the extra lovely and extremely inspiring *kirilee
How long have you been creating stock and what got you into it?
I have been creating stock (for this account) since March 2009. So 3 years and 8ish months.
A friend of mine, Bec - :icondarkness-sisters:, got me to try it out back in April 2007. I loved it, but didn't pick it up until after I returned from England and wanted to do something with all the costumes I seemed to have.
This was one of the first shots taken back in 2007:
What's your favourite thing about being a stocker?
Seeing the amazing artwork that is created! I'm not much of a visual artistic, but love the genre. It is nice for a woman to be considered a 'muse' of sorts *giggle*

StormsIt's going to be one of those days.



I woke up to thunder and lightning this morning. Looks like there will be storms on and off all day. This week hasn't been a whole lot better. I spent a lot of time the first part of the week rearranging my apartment and cleaning places I hadn't been able to clean for months. Thursday started ok. Went and did some grocery shopping in the morning. Afternoon went to hell. My desktop went pfffft-fzzz and froze up. The desktop icons looked like they were in 3d. So I forced a shutdown and restarted in safe mode. Same thing happened without the noise. Tried it again normally. did it again. It gets almost loaded and everything freezes. Luckily I have the laptop. I'll be using that untill I can find someone to figure ou what's wrong with poor Gloria and fix her. It's going to be a while.  I have very lit
